British national survives Indian plane crash

242 people were killed after an Air India plane on its way to London crashed in a huge fireball minutes after take-off, police have said.

An official confirmation, however, revealed that a British man has miraculously survived.

Local police confirmed they found one survivor in seat 11A of the flight, which plummeted into a residential area after leaving an airport in the western city of Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Reports from local media cited the survivor as Vishwash Kumar Ramesh (40)
