  • Zimbabwean Rapper Holy Ten has sparked nationwide outrage after making a chilling declaration against state security officers, marking a dangerous escalation in his ongoing clashes with political figures.

On Monday, the musician took to social media with a message that stunned both fans and critics, warning that he was prepared to use deadly force if government agents approached him.

“It’s not a threat,” he wrote. “But if your CIOs come to my house, I’m armed, I’m killing them at first sight.”

The post, which directly referenced the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), left no room for interpretation and has raised concerns that his online outbursts are spiralling into something far more serious.

What makes the statement even more shocking is that it came just hours after Holy Ten had issued an apology to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s sons, Sean and Collins. In his earlier message, he appeared to retract previous accusations that the brothers had sent soldiers to take his home. But the conciliatory tone did not last long.

By the afternoon, he had abandoned any signs of peace, choosing instead to threaten violence in stark and unambiguous terms: “I’m killing them at first sight.”

Some analysts say the rapid shift from apology to aggression has left the public unsettled and authorities on high alert. Holy Ten’s decision to publicly declare that he is armed and ready to fire at security agents could carry grave consequences for his career and personal safety.

The musician’s words have now shifted the conflict from mere online insults into an open confrontation with the state.
