Mvuma man (31)arrested for motor vehicle theft.

Mvuma -One suspect has been picked in connection with a robbery case which occurred in the Gweru Central Business District on 16 June 2025 at about 0430 hours.

The suspect has been identified as Bevage Gowa (31) of Matongara Mine, Downlands in Mvuma.

On the day in question and at the Midlands Hotel, the complainant unsuspectedly parked his Toyota Hilux motor vehicle and was approached by the suspect, who produced a knife and demanded cash.

Fearing for his life, the complainant surrendered his wallet containing USD$ 20.00, car keys and a cell phone.

Midlands Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the incident and said the matter was reported to the police, and the suspect was arrested, leading to the recovery of the car keys and cell phone.
