  • Tendai Ndoro, the Zimbabwean footballer, has been dealing with health issues. Contrary to earlier reports that he was suffering from diabetes, Ndoro revealed that he was actually diagnosed with a tumour under his armpit.

On an undisclosed date in 202,5, he underwent a successful surgery in South Africa to remove the tumour. Ndoro took to social media to express gratitude to God for the successful procedure and to reassure fans about his condition.

Some background on Ndoro's health issues:

    - Previous reports of diabetes: There were rumors circulating online about Ndoro having diabetes, which he later clarified wasn't the case.

    - Tumour diagnosis: Ndoro was diagnosed with a tumour under his armpit, which required surgical removal.

    - Successful surgery: The surgery was successful, and the tumour has been removed.

    His demise

The former Chicken Inn and Orlando Pirates ace was reportedly found dead at his home in South Africa today.

The cause of death was not immediately clear, but Ndoro has been battling diabetes since 2021. His struggles with the disease led to his retirement from football in 2020 due to eyesight issues.

Born and bred in Luveve, Bulawayo, Tendai  Ndoro burst onto the scene in 2009 playing for Nico United in Botswana. He signed for Chicken Inn in 2011, and two years later, he caught the attention of Cape Town City in South Africa, leading to two years with the club.

Orlando Pirates came calling in 2015, and he enjoyed two seasons with the Soweto giants before he joined Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia’s top flight in 2017.

He lasted just one season in Saudi Arabia and returned to South Africa with Ajax Cape Town. Two more spells at Highlands Park and Al-Orouba of Oman brought down the curtain on his career.

In 202,2, Ndoro filed for divorce from his ex-wife, Thando Maseko, after a brief marriage sparked internet claims that he had lost his Johannesburg home, cars, and fortune as properties were registered in her name.
