Silobela woman sentenced for killing husband.

A 24-year-old Silobela woman has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for killing her husband.  Liona Mbulawa, who committed this offence last year ( 2024) in November, pleaded guilty before the Midlands High Court circuit.

The court heard that in November last year, Mbulawa attacked her husband, Brighton Dube, with a cooking pot and a stick at their home in Makende Village following a domestic dispute.

Dube later succumbed to his injuries, and a postmortem examination attributed his death to severe brain injury, skull fracture and severe head trauma.
