  • Dynamos Football Club has been formally summoned to appear before the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Disciplinary Committee following the controversial abandonment of their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League fixture against FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

In a statement released by the PSL, Dynamos is facing charges related to causing the abandonment of the match and allegations of ungentlemanly conduct by members of the team’s technical staff. The club’s head coach, Saul Chaminuka, has also been cited individually and will face multiple disciplinary charges.

According to the PSL, Coach Chaminuka is accused of disturbing the normal proceedings of the match, contributing to its abandonment, displaying unsporting behavior, and making reckless statements to the media that may bring the game, its sponsors, the League, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), the Confederation of African Football (CAF), or FIFA into disrepute.

The disciplinary hearings are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 17:30hrs at the PSL offices.

The PSL emphasized its commitment to upholding the integrity of the game and maintaining discipline among its clubs and officials. If found guilty, Dynamos FC and Coach Chaminuka could face fines, suspensions, or other disciplinary measures in accordance with league regulations.

Further updates are expected following the outcome of the hearing.
