Cosafa Cup: Angola held by Namibia in Group B clash

Angola got its COSAFA Cup campaign neutralised in a stalemate encounter with Namibia in the Group B clash at the Toyota Stadium in Mangaung, Bloemfontein, South Africa on Thursda,y 05 June 2025.

Angola's hopes rose as 'Depu' netted what he thought would be the winner from the penalty spot on 90 minute after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) confirmed an award of the spot-kick for a foul later in the game.

However, Namibia was not denied a point as Ivan Kamberipa rose to head into the back of the net seven minutes into injury time as the game drew to an end , rescuing his side.

Today's encounter is the latest battle between the two sides after they played to a 0-0 draw in their opening pool game last year.

Meanwhile, in other games, Lesotho got their campaign off to a fantastic start with a 1-0 victory over Malawi in the Hollywoodbets Cosafa Cup game.
