Update : Gweru's 31 March Protestors ( 8) remanded out of custody to June.

The 8 Gweru Political Activists who were granted bail by High Court Judge, Sunsley Zisengwe bail  recently on accusations  of staging a protest on 31 March in Gweru have been remanded out of custody to 12 June 2025.

The ruling was tabled today at the Gweru magistrate's courts. Meanwhile the 8 managed to get bail following an appeal by the accused 's  lawyers,  Esau Mandipa and Leopold Mudisi who  heldup  a decision against the magistrate  court of violating the individual's rights of denying them bail.

In his ruling,  Judge Zisengwe overturned the magistrate court decision before ordering the accused to deposit US$100 each with the clerk of court in Gweru.
