    Candidates aspiring for the post of Premier Soccer League chairman will have to pay out $300,0 which has been set as the election fee by Zinbabwe Football Association.


    This was revealed by the Zimbabwe Football Association in a statement following the PSL upcoming elections to fill up the post of chairman, two deputies and three emergency committee members which are scheduled for the 25 of July 2025


    "The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) wishes to inform all stakeholders and the general public that it has developed a proposed road map for the forthcoming Premier Soccer League (PSL) and Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League (ZWSL) elections," the statement reads.


    "This electoral process will be conducted in strict adherence to the ZIFA Statutes and the ZIFA Electoral Code (2024), ensuring that the principles of transparency, integrity, and fairness remain at the core of all proceedings.


    "The proposed road map outlines key timelines and procedural steps leading up to the elections and will be shared with all relevant stakeholders for their input and observations. 


    "ZIFA remains committed to a consultative approach and will work closely with league representatives, clubs, and the broader football community to ensure a smooth and credible electoral process." Read the statement.


    Meanwhile, ZIFA president, Nqobile Magwizi, said the association’s dedication to upholding good governance in football administration.


    “The PSL and ZWSL elections represent an important milestone in the renewal of our football structures. As ZIFA, we are fully committed to delivering a credible, transparent, and inclusive process that strengthens the foundations of the game in Zimbabwe," he said.


    Farai Jere of Caps United is the outgoing Premier Soccer League chairperson as the end of his term is expected to usher in a new executive.
